Talk #1: Healthy vs. Toxic Positivity

There’s been a trend in so-called wellness spaces calling for “good vibes only.” While well-intentioned, this kind of thinking ignores our complexity as people and implies we can’t hold positive and negative emotions at the same time. But we can—and should!

Learn the difference between moving on versus moving forward and how to cultivate genuine positivity that doesn’t water down or distract from your very real lived experiences.

Talk #2: Creating Your Health Toolkit

The most powerful form of self-care is learning to approach every situation and decision with the question, “Does this add to or take away from my health?”

While the answer is personal, we’ll go through common but overlooked things that contribute to our wellbeing—building community, creating routine, and listening to your body—and things that jeopardize our health—constant stress, people who tell you what you want to hear, and bottling your emotions.

Talk #3: The Power of Unlearning

We hear a lot about ‘unlearning’, whether it’s debunking false narratives in history textbooks, identifying cultural values that are harmful but normalized, or your everyday health routine that you’re starting to question. While unlearning, it can be intimidating and difficult to get started!

In this talk, we’ll take a deep dive into what unlearning actually is, how to do it, and do it well so you actually feel the difference in your everyday life. We’ll also identify what aspects of your life or activities need be unlearned and discuss ways to make the process less intense!
